A Paradise business that conducts dockside grading and fisheries consulting on the Conception Bay North Shore is doing its part in helping people in the region affected by the wildfires.

President of Independent Dockside Grading and Fisheries Consulting, Chris Daley says they’re donating $10,000 to the Canadian Red Cross to help support people who have lost everything and are trying to rebuild their lives.

Daley says they do work in Ochre Pit Cove, Bay de Verde and Old Perlican and they have a number of employees who are affected by the fires.

He tells VOCM News he hopes that the gesture will inspire other companies to do the same.
