The Eastern Regional Service Board will require an access card in the new year to dump household items at waste recovery facilities, and it’s urging anyone who wants a card to get in the queue soon.
The original deadline for people to get one was April 1st, but that was pushed back to January 2nd due to overwhelming public feedback.
The board says processing will take between four and six weeks, so people should not wait too long.
Information on how to apply can be found online.
