A 21-year-old man spent the night in the lockup after a break-in at a home in the east end.

RNC were called around 8:40 last night after someone had managed to make their way inside the residence and cause a disturbance.

The man was arrested and charged with assault with a weapon, uttering threats, and mischief.

He was held for court.
