More information is expected today regarding an unusual accident on the Twillingate causeway.

RCMP were notified by a member of a construction crew who noticed debris on the road yesterday morning, and suspected that a vehicle had left the road and gone into the water.

RCMP brought a dive team in yesterday, and unconfirmed reports indicate that a vehicle was located and removed from the water. There’s no immediate indication as to whether anyone was in the vehicle at the time. A continued police presence is expected in the area as the investigation continues.
