RCMP are not providing any information on a person who came to them this week, claiming to have suffered long-term and ongoing abuse.

Three people were arrested in a major police operation on Bell Island yesterday.

A 43-year-old woman is facing charges of obstruction, a 16-year-old is charged with resisting arrest and assaulting a police officer and a 48-year-old man is charged with forcible confinement, assault with a weapon, assault and aggravated assault in relation to the ongoing investigation.

RCMP say the alleged victim is safe and is being provided with supports.
