The West Coast Senior Hockey League may be a little more rough and tumble than usual this season.
Donald Brashear, a tough guy in the days when virtually every NHL team had to have one or two, has been signed by the Corner Brook Royals.
He had stints with several NHL teams including Montreal, Philadelphia and Washington. He flashed the dukes many times in his career, and will no doubt be a physical presence on the ice in Corner Brook, Grand Falls-Windsor, Deer Lake and Stephenville this year even though the 53-year-old will be playing against guys half his age.
