The RCMP are looking for information after a young person was injured in a hit-and-run in Clarenville on Monday.
Police were called to the hospital in the town around 8:00 p.m. Monday night to meet with an injured young person and their guardian.
The young person was struck while on their dirt bike on the Random Island Causeway sometime between 7 p.m. and 7:30.
The driver of the suspect vehicle, a grey-coloured SUV which was possibly a Ford Escape, did not stop and sped away at a high rate of speed.
The young dirt bike rider suffered non-life-threatening injuries
