The Tories are reiterating their promise to build and operate four new ferries in this province.

Speaking at Trades NL this morning, Wakeham said he was disappointed with Liberal John Hogan for denouncing the project.

Wakeham was not able to provide a cost for building the ferries or or say what NL port would be capable of building the vessels.

“When we look at the capital cost of that (to build or upgrade the boat-building facility), that is something that is invaluable to the people of Newfoundland and Labrador” says Wakeham.

“I can’t put a cost on that, because I think of how many people have left this province looking for work.”
