The Nunatsivut Government is looking forward to advancing reconciliation with the newly-elected government under MHA Lela Evans.
President Johannes Lampe wishes the new premier “every success” as he begins his leadership role. He says a key part of addressing the concerns and priorities of Labrador Inuit is to “advance true reconciliation” with the full and effective implementation of the Labrador Inuit Land Claims Agreement.
Lampe also offered congratulations to Lela Evans on her re-election as MHA for Torngat Mountains.
Meanwhile, the NunatuKavut Community Council congratulates Premier-designate Tony Wakeham and the Progressive Conservatives.
Todd Russell says the new chapter brings both opportunity and responsibility, and he looks forward to building “a renewed and respectful relationship” with Wakeham and his team.
