The Liberal Party, now relegated to official opposition status, is putting its best face forward despite the results of this week’s election.
Party vice-president and campaign co-chair Judy Morrow says the rebuilding now begins and the 15 Liberal MHAs elected to the legislature are “energized” and will work hard to represent the people of the province, their districts and hold the government to account.
As for John Hogan’s political future, Morrow hopes he sticks around.
“The support for John Hogan is absolutely strong,” says Morrow. “The loss that we suffered on Tuesday night absolutely had nothing to do with his leadership.” She says when you’re seeking your fourth mandate, it’s not an easy feat.
She is urging the newly-elected premier to go forward with finalizing the MOU.
Morrow says it will bring thousands of jobs and financial stability to the province.
