RNC in Corner Brook are urging drivers to be prepared for winter driving after the region received its first dumping of snow earlier this week.

Tuesday’s snowfall came on fast and heavy and police were kept busy responding to numerous calls of vehicles stuck on the Trans Canada.

A section of the road had to be closed for several hours to allow first responders to clear abandoned vehicles and allow the plows through.
