The Toronto Blue Jays held a year-end news conference today to put the wraps on an incredible season and to talk about what’s next.
Probably the biggest question is whether Bo Bichette, who led the team in many offensive categories despite missing quite a few games, will re-sign or opt to test the market.
The team had made a qualifying offer and Bichette has twelve days to respond.
Pitcher Shane Bieber has already opted to stay with the team instead of testing free agency.
GM Ross Atkins says he’s not sure how things will unfold regarding player movements over the next few months.
He says one thing the Jays have in their favour is that several players can suit up in multiple positions, so that gives them flexibility.
