One man is in hospital in critical condition while another is facing charges after an off-road vehicle crashed on the main road in McKays Thursday evening.

RCMP say the two men were thrown from the vehicle and were rushed to hospital in Stephenville.

The operator, a 35-year-old man from St. David’s, had blood drawn at the hospital. He was released to appear in court at a later date on a charge of impaired driving.

The 42-year-old passenger was transferred to another hospital for advanced medical care of critical injuries.
