The provincial government can now forge ahead with a clear, but razor-thin majority, in the House of Assembly.
Paul Dinn’s victory in Topsail-Paradise was maintained after a judicial recount that wrapped up in court yesterday.
Liberal Dan Bobbett challenged the results after some discrepancies were found.
In the end, Paul Dinn’s 102 vote lead grew to 106 after the ballots were counted in the courtroom.
The final seat count is 21 for the governing PCs, 15 for the Opposition Liberals, two NDP, and two independent seats.
Dinn, who has already been sworn-in as education minister, is the last of the PCs to be sworn-in as MHA. It’s not yet known when that will happen.
