An 18-year-old woman has been arrested and charged in connection with the crash of an off-road vehicle earlier this month that sent a passenger to hospital with serious injuries.
The side-by-side was found off the side of Airstrip Road in North West River after RCMP in Sheshatshiu were called around 3:30 in the morning on Friday, November 7th.
Responding officers found the injured passenger at the scene, but the driver was nowhere to be seen.
Charges have now been laid against Aicha Malleck.
She’s facing charges of dangerous driving causing bodily harm, failing to stay at the scene of an accident, driving without reasonable consideration for others, and driving without insurance.
She was released to appear in court January 8th.
