NDP Leader Jim Dinn says teachers are frustrated after learning that one of their key pieces of learning software was eliminated due to cost-cutting measures.
Dinn says funding for English Additional Language (EAL) software, which assists students learning English as an additional language, was eliminated for the second consecutive year.
The newly-minted education minister, Paul Dinn, called it an “administrative” issue and that the program is now back up and running.
“I think it’s more of an administrative thing than anything, and hopefully we’ll get that rectified for the years to come. It’s back in now, of course.”
