Residents on the east coast are digging out from winter’s latest assault…but the big question for many is; where to put it?
RCMP are offering a reminder to residents that dumping snow on roadways is an offence under the Highway Traffic Act – not to mention a public safety concern.
Police say throwing, pushing or leaving snow or ice on the road is against the law, and can result in a ticket and fines.
It can also affect public safety by obstructing traffic, increasing the risk of collisions and potentially causing delays for emergency responders.
