The provincial government says it has “every intention” of replacing Cabot Academy which was destroyed in last summer’s wildfires, but there are many factors that still have to be considered before any plans are finalized.

Cabot Academy in Western Bay was the only school serving the Conception Bay North Shore, and students are now being accommodated primarily in the Carbonear, Victoria, Bay de Verde and elsewhere.

Education Minister Paul Dinn says officials are analyzing all the necessary factors, and they anticipate most of that work will be completed in the near future.
