The Health Minister says changes are coming to the Medical Transportation Assistance Program that will provide patients with 100 per cent coverage.
Right now, people who must travel a long distance for medical appointments or care, must submit a claim for a portion of their travel and hotel costs.
Health Minister Lela Evans indicated that changes are coming to the MTAP in response to a question from the opposition’s Lisa Dempster.
Evans says government is planning 100 per cent coverage for those who must avail of the MTAP program.
