A man is in the lockup after taking his anger out on some furniture at a home in the west end last night.

RNC was called to the home on Topsail Road just after 9:30 to reports of a man causing damage and beating up furniture.

The 52-year-old was taken into custody after a brief struggle and charged with mischief related to property damage, uttering threats and resisting arrest.

He was held for court.
