The provincial government has a new Public Trustee in place.
In a statement to VOCM News, the Department of Justice and Public Safety says Stefanie Tuff has been appointed into the role, which she began on March 6.
The office operates independently of the provincial government and has a number of functions, including handling the estate of someone who has died, acting as the custodian of property for prisoners and missing persons, and acting as the guardian of the estate of someone who is mentally disabled.
