Two of the province’s most popular natural attractions open to the public today.
The Cape St. Mary’s and Mistaken Point ecological reserves are now open to visitors.
Cape St. Mary’s is one of the largest sea bird colonies in the North Atlantic and the gannets that nest there can be viewed within just a few feet from a walking trail along the cliffs.
Mistaken Point meanwhile is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and features the fossilized imprints of some of the Earth’s earliest known complex life forms – dating back more than 500 million years.
Both sites will be open to visitors until Friday, October 16.
