After nearly six months, the town of Victoria has a new elected council.
A special byelection was held in the town yesterday after the previous council was dismissed by the department of municipalities.
The town had been run by a government-appointed administrator.
The new council consists of Sharon Penney, Kelly Loch, David Doran, Wade Baldwin, Lynette Ross (Clarke) Irene Stevenson, and Anneliese Snook.
Penney garnered the greatest number of ballots with 564.
Sixteen people put their names forward for council.
