Liberal MHA Elvis Loveless says he’s ready to bury the hatchet with Energy Minister Lloyd Parrott after a testy exchange in the House of Assembly yesterday afternoon.
During a budget debate, the two exchanged chirps on the floor of the House of Assembly, where, according to Loveless, Parrott “challenged” him to go behind the speaker’s chair.
Loveless claims Parrott was chirping Liberal MHA Sarah Stoodley during the debate.
He told VOCM News after the incident that the conversation behind the chair focused on seeing eye to eye.
“You could sense the volume of the house is going up and the Speaker of the House trying to contain it all. The Government House Leader was certainly chirping at (Stoodley) and saying stuff, and I just questioned him, it’s like, ‘What did you say?’ And he challenged me to come behind the Speaker’s chair, so I did. And the volume was up,” he told VOCM News.
“We had a conversation, and then we left, went back to our chairs.”
VOCM News reached out to the PC Party for comment.
