Hockey Helps the Homeless has raised more than $62,000 in support of Choices for Youth.

The charity tournament, which was held on May 7th at the Paradise Double Ice Complex, surpassed the initial goal of $60,000.

The executive director of Choices for Youth, Jen Crowe, says they are grateful to everyone who participated.

Crowe says not a lot of people realize that Choices for Youth fundraises over a million dollars every year through events like the Hockey Helps the Homeless tournament, and last year they were able to house over 100 homeless youth. She says this tournament’s contribution will help them do the same, if not more, this year.
