First responders had a busy night dealing with a house fire in Portugal Cove-St. Philip’s.

The home was fully engulfed in flame by the time firefighters and police arrived around 2:10 a.m.

Thorburn Road from the Portugal Cove-St. Philip’s boundary to Sharpe’s Store was closed for several hours but has since reopened.

There is no word on any injuries.
