The Office of the Seniors’ Advocate has launched a social media campaign which they hope will encourage people to rethink the stereotypes about aging.
This is Seniors’ Month across Newfoundland and Labrador
The theme of this year’s campaign is “Think Again,” which they hope will make people rethink the perceptions of aging.
The Advocate says too often age is associated with becoming less capable.
To highlight this, people aged 65 and older are being asked to submit a photo and a short writeup that can be used in the social media campaign.
Those interested in submitting are asked to go to the Office of the Seniors’ Advocate website or call 709-729-6603/1-833-729-6603.
