The electrical grid is returning to normal after a trip on the Labrador Island Link cause an interruption in power just before noon today.
Thousands of people in various pockets, including metro, from one end of the island to the other were without electricity, most for only a short time.
It was an “underfrequency load shed” according to the manufacturers, Newfoundland and Labrador Hydro.
Those situations occur a few times a year.
