Production at Hibernia and Hebron was strong over the last year and the president of ExxonMobil is expecting that momentum to continue.
Kerry Moreland provided updates on both projects at the Energy NL conference earlier this week.
On Hibernia, she says 2025 was an “exceptional” year, including the execution of a 6-well program.
Moreland says Hibernia is currently on track to deliver its highest production in five years. In April, production averaged over 102,000 barrels per day.
She says continued strong performance is expected to “largely offset declines over the next decade,” which she attests is “absolutely no small feat for a mature asset that has been producing for nearly 29 years.”
Moreland expects production will be extended “well beyond” Hibernia’s original 30-year asset life.
She says production at Hebron has reached “record levels.”
In February, Hebron achieved its highest average monthly production of 172,000 barrels of oil per day, with its highest-ever peak rate of 184,000 barrels.
