Environment Canada has ended an air quality warning triggered by a fire at Robin Hood Bay yesterday afternoon.
Firefighters and city crews were busy battling a fire at the dump, with smoke visible throughout the metro region.
The presence was enough for officials to advise residents in the east end and nearby municipalities to close their windows and limit time outdoors.
There is no word on the cause of the fire, however the city has stated in the past that rechargeable batteries are a known fire risk.
