The provincial government is aware of traffic delays in the area of the Foxtrap Access yesterday, and warns that delays may vary in the area throughout the summer.

VOCM listeners say eastbound traffic on the Trans Canada was backed up 4 to 5 kms at Foxtrap Access yesterday, with one listener indicating that it took them an hour and a half to pass through the area.

The department of transportation says depending on the work underway, some delays may be longer than others, with more complex work causing greater traffic congestion.

Construction work will continue in the area through to late fall.
