The RNC is getting more calls for service concerning the use of e-bikes and scooters in the metro region, and they expect those calls to increase as the school year comes to a close.

RNC Constable Steph Myers says the vehicles can reach a surprisingly high speed.

“These machines can go quite fast, zero to 50 within seconds. So, depending on the make and model, check out the speeds that can be reached on these bikes and e-scooters and educate your kids when they’re heading out to the roadways and the risks that come along with that.”
