The Ukrainian National Federation of Canada is launching the very first Ukrainian market in Corner Brook to correlate with an ancient Slavic celebration.

She says the highlight is Kupala Night, known as the summer solstice in other countries, celebrating the shortest night of the year.
She says they will also host a couple of workshops, featuring the ancient celebration of Ivan Kupala, She says it’s about celebrating nature, and includes bonfires, flowers, the making of wreaths and music.
