A group from Oakville, Ontario, has begun a long trip across the country in support of food banks in each province.
The walkers departed from Cape Spear this morning at 10 a.m. and plan to walk to Port aux Basques in 44 days.
They plan to walk the 850 km in support of the Community Food Sharing Association, sharing their journey on social media.
Along the way, the group plans to stop in communities and meet with locals to learn more about the culture of Newfoundland and Labrador.
