The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary has issued a shelter-in-place for an area of Portugal Cove-St. Philips.
The shelter in place is in effect for the area of Anglican Cemetery Road.
People are being asked to remain indoors, with their windows and doors closed and locked.
While the police response is ongoing, people are being asked not to share information about police activities on social media.
