A man who did not know when to quit his crime spree is in the lockup awaiting a court appearance.

It all began at about 8:00 last night when a man broke into a residence on New Penneywell Road. The woman who owns the house was home at the time and was assaulted with a knife-like weapon, however the perpetrator left before RNC officers got there.

About 90 minutes later there was a dust-up at the Pedestrian Mall in downtown St. John’s.

The RNC arrested a 39-year-old only to find that he was the same one who had broken into the home on New Penneywell.

The many charges against him will be formally spelled out in court today.
