Police are investigating an attempted armed robbery at the Marie’s on Moores Drive in Mount Pearl last night.

RNC say a man entered the store around 10:00 p.m. and presented a weapon to the clerk while demanding cash.

He fled the scene empty-handed.

A police dog conducted a search but officers were unable to locate the suspect.

The investigation continues.
