The RCMP’s Explosive Disposal Unit had to be called in after a suspicious bag was left unattended at the Deer Lake Regional Airport.
The RCMP were called around 6 p.m. Monday after airport security did an initial check of the bag, discovering the possible presence of an explosive material inside.
The Explosive Disposal Unit later determined that the item was safe and it was turned over to security for disposal.
