NL Health Services says it is aware of a sewage line at the Health Sciences that is affecting some washroom facilities at the hospital.
Last week, NAPE reported that issues had been identified during renovation work to the hospital’s ER and that a tear up was necessary.
NLHS say the line in question was installed during initial construction in the 1970s.
The health authority says the line is being assessed and repairs will be carried out as needed, but hasn’t detailed the specific problem, or what is required to have it addressed.
