A St. John’s student has been awarded with the 2026 Stockholm Junior Water Prize for his work in developing technology to clean plastic from water.
Moroti Adegboyega, who represented Team Canada at the international event, is about to start Grade 12 at St. Bon’s.

He developed a robot that uses AI, magnetic materials and nanoparticles to remove plastic debris from bodies of water.
Moroti was presented the award by Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden at an event in Stockhom on Tuesday.
