Corner Brook and CUPE Local 4386 have entered into what the city is calling “confidential exploratory talks” with the conciliator.
The city is embroiled in a labour dispute with the union which represents workers at the Civic Centre.
The city locked the workers out two weeks ago after claiming that the union walked away from the bargaining table.
The discussions are scheduled to continue until Monday, November 9th.
The city of Corner Brook says no further comment will be made at this time.
