A man wanted on a Canada-wide warrant in connection with the death of a man in Happy Valley-Goose Bay three years ago has been arrested.

The RCMP has confirmed that 30-year-old David Faucher has been arrested by the Saskatchewan Marshalls Service.

Faucher was charged with first-degree murder earlier this year in connection with the death of 43-year-old Franz Drosch in 2023.

Arrangements are currently being made to bring the accused back to Newfoundland and Labrador.

To protect the integrity of the ongoing investigation, the RCMP say no further details will be released at this time. However, they will provide an update “when it is appropriate to do so.”
