The provincial government says work is progressing on the Team Gushue Highway extension, and the highway is on track to open this fall.
The Department of Transportation says most paving is “substantially complete” but a number of things have to happen before the highway can open.
That section of highway will alter driving routes in metro and relieve congestion in some areas, especially Park Avenue in Mount Pearl.
