The Montreal Canadiens have re-signed Newfoundlander Alex Newhook to a four-year contract extension.
The deal, which runs through the 2030-2031 season, comes with an average annual value of $5.55 million for the 25-year-old forward.
Newhook tallied 25 points in 42 regular-season games last year. He quickly became a key piece of the Canadiens’ third-round playoff push, scoring the game-winning goal in two separate Game 7s.
The Canadiens will kick off their regular season on September 29th with a matchup against Toronto.
