Ferry crossings at Marine Atlantic have been cancelled for tonight, and more cancellations are possible for tomorrow as a wind storm moves through the province.
Spokesperson Darrell Mercer says no firm decisions have been made yet on crossings set for tomorrow, but they are hopeful things can get back on track tomorrow night.
Once that happens, Mercer says they will need to work through a backlog of people that had to be rescheduled.
He says their staff are working “diligently,” and the hope is that, for Port Aux Basques, they can move the backlogged traffic over the next three crossings.
