The list of electronics you can recycle in Newfoundland and Labrador has expanded.
Office equipment, e-scooters, hand-held power tools, and toys have been added to the provincial program.
They join a list that already includes several household appliances, such as vacuums and microwaves.

Michelle Marley, who is with Recycle My Electronics, says many of these items contain valuable metals and plastics that can be extracted and reused in other devices.
“There’s actually a lot of really good things in those electronics that can be recycled and used again,” she told VOCM News.
“Things like glass, plastic, steel, some of the bits and pieces like there’s a lot of silver, there’s gold, there’s so many good things in there that can be extracted and put back into the manufacturing supply chain. So that’s really important.”
