Four people were charged with impaired driving, and more than 300 tickets were issued by the RNC during ‘Operation Impact’ over the Thanksgiving long weekend.
The initiative was part of a province-wide enforcement blitz, which also included the RCMP, targeting dangerous driving.
In addition to the criminal charges laid, eleven drivers had their licenses suspended, and 15 vehicles were seized – five of which for driving at more than 50 km/h above the posted speed limit.
The RNC say there were also numerous cases of speeding in construction zones where workers were present.
