The NDP has a candidate in place for the upcoming byelection in the district of Humber-Gros Morne.
Graham Downey-Sutton, who has family roots in Deer Lake, will carry the party banner in the byelection on October 6.
The byelection was called after former premier Dwight Ball vacated the seat to allow premier Andrew Furey to run.
Mike Goosney is running for the PCs, and Graydon Pelley is representing the Newfoundland and Labrador Alliance.
