Police in the Trinity-Conception area had a busy start to their week which resulted in four drivers being taken off the road.
The first incident occurred on Monday at 3 p.m. when police stopped a vehicle on the Veterans Memorial Highway.
The driver, a 37-year-old man from Clarkes Beach, was found to be without a licence or registration and using a false plate and stickers.
Then, about an hour and a half later, a truck was stopped along Route 70 in Spaniard’s Bay. The driver in that case, a 28-year-old woman, was not wearing a seat belt and was driving with no insurance.
The next day around noon, a 29-year-old Makinsons man was stopped in Shearstown and was found to have an expired licence, registration, and no insurance.
Finally, at about 1:30 p.m. that same day, the RCMP stopped a 22-year-old Carbonear man for driving without insurance on the Veterans Memorial Highway.
All drivers were ticketed for their individual infractions and had their vehicles impounded.
