The St. John’s Regional Fire Department has a new Deputy Chief of Operations.
Chief Sherry Colford appointed Roger Hounsell to the role.
Hounsell has been with St. John’s Regional Fire Department since 1994, having served as a firefighter, Fire Lieutenant, and Platoon Chief.
He also served on specialty teams including High Angle/Helicopter Rescue, Confined Space and Cold Water Rescue.
Chief Colford calls him an “exemplary member” of the department and she looks forward to his experience and leadership moving forward.
